Kelly and Adam are my Travel Tuesday bloggers this week. They are full-time digital nomads and run Destination Addict and their other businesses while living and travelling in their converted van.

So over to Kelly and Adam from Destination Addicts to answer my Travel Questions:

Q1 – When did you become travellers?

Kelly way back in 2005 when she quit her full-time job, moved to France & afterwards went inter-railing around Europe. Adam in 2015 when he packed up his life to work & live in Canada for 6 months.

Q2 – What kind of travellers are you? Full-time? Part-time? Anytime?

We are full-time travellers who live & work from our campervan, Barnaby.

Q3 – Which country do you originally come from and where do you call home?

We are both from the UK, Kelly from the south, Adam from the north. Home is where we park it.

Q4 – Is there anything you miss from home when you are travelling?

Family & friends immensely but also the routine of being able to attend yoga classes consistently (for Kelly) & take part in tennis & football with the same team (for Adam) as both can be a little tricky from our van.

Q5 – What do you love most about travelling?

Adventure & getting off the beaten path – for us, there’s nothing like exploring a place on foot & for that reason we love to hike wherever we go. We also love learning about different cultures, trying new food & meeting new & interesting people.

Q6 – And what is your pet hate?

People not respecting the environment – looking after the planet is the responsibility of us all.

Q7 – Tell us about your favourite trip or place to visit.

Hiking in Canada! Glacial lakes, mountains, nature and stunning views you can’t beat it!

Q8 – How do you prepare for a trip, are you a last-minute packer or days in advance?

We like to think of ourselves as a well-balanced mix of preparation & winging it or as we like to call it flexible! We are definitely last-minute packers, although the van helps as it’s already packed!

Q9 – What 5 things do you always take on your travels?

Sunglasses, camera, hat or cap, coat and phone!

Q10 – If money was no object, where would you live?

In a log cabin in nature near the mountains or the coast – probably in Canada!

Q11 – Tell us more about your blog/YouTube channel?

We are full-time digital nomads who work & adventure from wherever we choose. Driven by a love of nature & the outdoors we have created a life for ourselves that we don’t wish to escape from & are passionate about helping others to do the same. We share regular inspiration through our travel blog, Destination Addict.

In addition to this, we help other creatives with setting up & running their own digital business through SoulMadic & even have our own natural & sustainable clothing range Nature Threads.

Q12 – What three blogs inspire you?

Nomadasuarus – For their adventures & photographs & because they are really rad people.

The Planet D – For all of the incredible places they visit & their stunning photography.

Big World Small Pockets – For her awesome writing skills, huge smile and incredible destination choices.

Q13 – And your go-to travel resource?

We use a lot of van-life apps. We love Park4Night as it helps us get off the beaten track & find all those secret spots.

Q14 – What advice would you give first-time bloggers?

Learn about SEO early on as it will save you a ton of time & energy implementing this straight away rather than having to go back over all of your old content. Check out Make Traffic Happen for all the best tips!

Q15 – Where are you off to next?

North Wales, UK with lots of hiking in Snowdonia planned.
